Office 365 will run on almost any computer manufactured since 2015 with 4Gb of RAM or better. This allows the installation of the MS Office Suite as well as use of the browser based Office 365. Louis College of Health Careers provides all students with a Microsoft Office 365 Education A3 license. SLCHC has provided each student with a copy of the MS Office suite.

Software needed includes Microsoft Office or an Open Source Office Suite and Adobe Reader. Louis College of Health Careers, it is suggested you do not take timed tests on a phone or tablet. File uploads may be more difficult from mobile devices. Due to connection issues beyond the control of St. Moodle will adjust to different sizes of screens for use with phones or tablets. For timed tests, a wireless connection is not advised. Other MOODLE compatible browsers are Firefox and Safari. Microsoft Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Microsoft or MOODLE. Other browsers have not been tested with Moodle. SLCHC recommends either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome updated to the latest
You will need a stable Internet connection and a supported browser. Program coursework is delivered using an interactive learning management system (LMS), MOODLE. Louis College of Health Careers does not recommend netbooks (such as a Chromebook) for classwork.

You can also download the Vitalsource Bookshelf app on up to 2 devices such as your phone, Kindle, or tablet. Vitalsource is where you will go to access your ebooks once you have redeemed them. Your student subscription of Microsoft 365 also allows you to download the Microsoft Office Suite to your desktop or laptop computer, giving you access to the desktop versions of those same apps like Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Microsoft Office 365 is where you will go to access your student email through Outlook, access online apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and store items in OneDrive. It is more of the Administrative side of things. The Student Portal is where you will find your course schedule, check your student balance and make payments, receive alerts from Financial Aid and other departments, view your final grades from past courses and cumulative GPA. It is more of the Academic side of things. You should be saving this site in your favorites as you will be using it on a daily basis. This is where you will access all of your current courses, be it ground, blended or completely online.
